R6 FullStart Guide

Quick Start Guide — Perc R6 Full

This guide walks you through everything step by step. Follow it from top to bottom and you’ll be up and running in a few minutes.

If anything goes wrong, check the Common Issues page or open a ticket in our Discord .

Turn Off Your Antivirus

Your antivirus will try to block perc — this is normal. You need to turn it off before doing anything else.

If you use Windows Defender (most people do):

  1. Click the Start button, type Virus & threat protection, and press Enter.
  2. Click Manage settings under “Virus & threat protection settings”.
  3. Turn off Real-time protection and any other toggles on that page.

Can’t turn it off? Some Windows updates re-enable Defender automatically. If the toggle keeps flipping back on, download dControl , extract the zip, run dControl.exe, and click Disable.

If you use a different antivirus (Norton, McAfee, AVG, etc.), you’ll need to disable that too. Look for a “Pause Protection” or “Disable” option by right-clicking its icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen (system tray).

Install C++ Redistributable

This is a small program many apps need to run. You probably already have it, but install it just in case.

  1. Download C++ Redistributable .
  2. Open the file and click Install.
  3. Wait for it to finish, then click Close.

Install DirectX

  1. Download DirectX Runtime .
  2. Open the file.
  3. Uncheck the Bing option — you don’t need it.
  4. Click Next and let it install.

Turn Overlays Off

This step is critical. Overlays cause crashes, black chams, and missing visuals. Turn them ALL off.

Turn off overlays from all of these (if you have them):

  • Steam — Settings → In-Game → uncheck “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”
  • Discord — Settings → Activity Settings → Game Overlay → turn off
  • NVIDIA GeForce Experience — Settings → turn off “In-Game Overlay”
  • Xbox Game Bar — press Start → type “Game Bar” → turn it off
  • Overwolf, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner — close them completely
  • Stats.cc — Settings → General (under OVERLAY) → turn off “Open Overlay on Game Launch”

Exception: Ubisoft Connect overlay MUST stay ON. Perc needs it to work. Open Ubisoft Connect → click your profile icon (top-left) → SettingsInterface → make sure “Enable in-game overlay for supported games” is enabled.

Set Up Your Game Settings

Do NOT have perc running yet. Just open the game normally for this step.

  1. Start Rainbow Six Siege the way you normally do.
  2. Go to SettingsDisplay → set Display Mode to Borderless (Fullscreen may cause crashes).
  3. Go to SettingsGraphics.
  4. Set Overall Quality to Low.
  5. Set Anti-Aliasing to FXAA or Off.
  6. Close the game completely.

Download the Loader

  1. Go to the perc dashboard  in your browser.
  2. Log in with your account.
  3. Download the loader — the file will be called password=perc.rar.
  4. If you don’t have WinRAR , download and install it.
  5. Right-click the .rar file and click Extract Here (or open it with WinRAR).
  6. When prompted for a password, type perc and click OK.
  7. You should now have perc.exe in the same folder.

Inject

Rainbow Six Siege must be fully closed before you inject. If the game is running, close it first.

  1. Find perc.exe (the file you just extracted).
  2. Right-click it and click Run as administrator.
  3. Enter your license key. You got this in your email after purchase — check your spam folder if you can’t find it. You can also copy it from your perc dashboard .
  4. Click Login.
  5. Click Inject.
  6. The loader will say Please Start Rainbow Six Siege... — start your game like you usually do.
  7. Once it says Injection Success!, click OK. The loader will close.

In Game

  1. Once you’re in the main menu, the perc menu should appear automatically.
  2. Press the Insert key on your keyboard to hide or show it.

The Insert key is usually above the Delete key, near the top-right of your keyboard. On some laptops you may need to press Fn + Insert. The menu key can also be changed under SettingsMiscMenu Key in the perc menu.

You’re Done

If the menu shows up, everything is working. Check out the feature docs to learn what each setting does.

If the menu doesn’t show up:
